Client Engagements
Thousands of businesses and law firms have leveraged our experience, abilities, and scale to provide cost containment solutions without sacrificing quality or service. Throughout our growth, our leadership has maintained a management style that combines a national footprint and economies of scale along with local decision-making abilities to best serve our clients.
A sampling of our varied client engagements is listed below:
- A Large, National Bank, relies entirely on Document Technologies for all of its litigation support services, including forensic support, electronic discovery, scanning, coding, web hosting and document production management for intellectual property, employment and securities litigation. DTI works on a dozen or more projects in support of the bank’s outside counsel nationwide. Our advanced review platforms host millions of pages of material derived from electronic and paper files harvested from the bank’s central servers and file archives, as well as from bank offices nationwide. Assisted by a senior litigation project manager in Charlotte and a second technical project manager at our National Technology Center, the bank is able to meet the often pressing needs of in-house and local counsel with a small internal cadre of senior litigation support professionals based at the bank’s headquarters.
- A Joint Defense Group working on behalf of a regional utility company hired DTI to manage a large repository of insurance documents for a 3 year engagement. DTI built an index and provided web-hosted access via LitShare to attorneys across 14 law firms. Training was consolidated and delivered to all users via WebEx technology over the course of three, one-hour sessions.
- An AMLAW 100 Law Firm selected DTI to collect, convert, host and produce critical ESI data for key custodians in a large shareholder litigation matter. DTI consulted with the client on appropriate design and processing methodologies. All tasks were implemented and performed under a strict deadline six weeks after the project’s inception.
- A Boutique Law Firm Representing a Fortune 200 Pharmaceutical Conglomerate tasked DTI with building an on-line database with customized filters to identify presumptively responsive and privileged documents amongst the source data. The document review was completed by attorneys in a three week span. As a result of our targeted use of technology and culling criteria, only 3% of the source population was designated as responsive. The filtering techniques applied significantly reduced expected attorney review time.
- A Top 5 Chicago Law Firm selected DTI to assist with a government grand jury subpoena for a large international manufacturing company that resulted in the collection of documents from over 100 custodians. The documents were collected and imaged over the period of eight months from several domestic and international locations. A large database was developed to store the subpoena responses and to support pending litigation.
